things for DIY tasks 

e.g. wall paper stripper and tools, painting and decorating brushes and tools, electric sanders, power drills, staple guns, sealant guns, tile cutters, sack trucks, torque wrenches, heat guns, car tyre inflators, spirit levels, socket sets

things for houses and living 

e.g.  baby equipment (cots, stair gates, changing mats), fans, dehumidifiers, sack trolley, food mixers, cake tins, pop corn makers, ice cream makers

things for cleaning 

e.g.  jet washers, carpet cleaners (vax), window vacum, sink/toilet unblocker

things to help in the garden

e.g. strimmers, fork/spade/digging tools, pick axes, lawn mowers, wheel barrows, ladders, lawn seeders, lawn weeders, shears, loppers, hedge trimmers

things to help with getting around

e.g. bike racks for the car, wheel chairs, car tyre pumps

Please note, for safety reasons we are not able to stock dangerous tools like angle grinders, circular saws, blow torch, chainsaws, petrol power tools or fragile items.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can under 18s borrow things?

Membership of our library and borrowing tools is available for anyone 18 years or older.  Younger family members are welcome to use borrowed tools with adult supervision.

I can't return my tool on time

Just email us, we can usually extend your borrow. Late returns risk a small fee so we can keep things in circulation

What happens if my thing stops working or I damage it?

Email us straight away. Wear and tear is part of life — we'll never charge for honest mistakes. We may ask members to contribute toward repairs for serious damage.
